We're building Kinetiq Learning from the ground up in Glendale, CA — and we're looking for thoughtful, exceptional people to help shape it.

Our mission

Reimagine the formative years so children grow as whole humans.

We design integrated learning experiences for ages 5–6 that connect mind, body, and character — replacing fragmented schedules with a coherent, intentional environment.

Our vision

A new model of early learning where experience is the curriculum.

Children don't move from subject to subject — they move through meaningful experiences designed around how they naturally grow.

This is not a traditional teaching role.

Kinetiq Learning is building a new kind of early childhood experience where children don't move from subject to subject, but move through meaningful, integrated experiences designed around how they naturally grow.

We're looking for a Founding Lead Guide who is exceptional with young children, deeply intentional in their work, and excited to help build something from the ground up.

About Kinetiq Learning

Kinetiq Learning is an early learning environment for children ages 5–6, built on a simple idea:

Experience is the curriculum.

Instead of fragmented activities and isolated subjects, we create a cohesive, immersive environment where children:

  • Build, create, and explore through project-based learning
  • Develop literacy and math through meaningful application
  • Move daily, integrating body and mind
  • Grow socially, emotionally, and intellectually in a connected way

Our model blends:

  • Project-based and experiential learning
  • Whole-child development (mind, body, character)
  • Personalized pathways based on each child's development and interests
  • A calm, intentional culture that respects how children actually learn

We are launching our founding cohort in Fall 2026.

The Role

The Lead Guide is not a traditional "teacher." You are a designer of experiences, a guide of development, and a builder of environment.

You will work closely with the founder to bring Kinetiq to life while shaping not just what children learn, but how they experience learning every day.

This role requires someone who can:

  • Hold structure without being rigid
  • Guide without controlling
  • Plan intentionally while staying responsive in the moment

What This Role Requires

  • Strong planning and organization
  • The ability to think ahead while responding in the moment
  • Comfort with ambiguity and building as you go
  • High energy, presence, and emotional attunement and co-regulation with children
  • A shift from controlling behavior → guiding development

The Lead Guide is responsible for:

  • The daily learning experience for a small cohort (approx. 12–20 children)
  • Planning of integrated learning experiences across literacy, math, STEAM, and creative work
  • Observation and adaptation based on each child's development, interests, and needs
  • A culture of autonomy, where children are supported to think, choose, and engage independently
  • The physical and emotional environment—calm, intentional, and inviting
  • Family relationships and communication, helping parents understand and trust the process
  • Contribution to the evolving model, as a founding team member shaping what Kinetiq becomes

Who This Is For

This role is for someone who:

  • Is naturally exceptional with young children
  • Connects easily and makes them feel seen, safe, and capable
  • Understands how to guide without over-directing
  • Is both creative and highly organized
  • Enjoys designing meaningful experiences, not just delivering lessons
  • Is reflective, observant, and pays attention to small details in behavior and development
  • Feels energized by building something new, not just maintaining what exists
  • Communicates clearly and warmly with both children and adults

This role is likely not a fit if you:

  • Prefer traditional teaching structures and scripted curricula
  • Tend to control, direct, or over-manage children
  • Struggle with organization or long-term planning
  • Need clear, fixed systems before you can operate
  • See your role primarily as delivering content rather than guiding development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology, or related field
  • 3+ years experience working with children ages 3–7
  • Experience with project-based, experiential, or child-centered learning environments
  • Familiarity with approaches such as Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, or similar (preferred, not required)
  • Familiarity with positive psychology, positive discipline, conscious discipline, and responsive classrooms (preferred, not required)

More important than credentials:

  • Your presence with children
  • Your ability to plan and guide meaningful experiences
  • Your level of ownership and intention
